Yes, Kurdish militias have been allies of the west against ISIS for a long time. They are great assets if they are provided air support and heavy weaponry.

If the Kurds do begin a ground operation then Iran has 2 choices. Mass troops to fight the Kurds in which case we can kill them with air strikes, or do nothing and give up ground.

I’m sure the pull up bars and .22 rounds really help. I’ve talk to guys that help train some of those groups in Iraq. They are not trained to the skill level to match USA.

I thought the guns were for civilians to fight the Iranian troops, so are they not equally trained? Or am I mistaken and the guns are meant for someone else
