Misc General Banter Thread

No way we get any extended warm ups with a jumbo trough North of us like this. This has been the theme all Winter. Cold bottles up in Canada for a period & then shifts that long range modeling don't pick up begin to occur in the 7-14 day range. This happened in late Dec & early January & then the second half of You can already see more troughs setting up on the Euro to round off February & getting into early March. Are you a Papa John’s guy or a Dominos guy

Are you a Papa John’s guy or a Dominos guy
Great question. Dominos is consistently good (we have a reliable dominoes in my neck of the woods).

Papa Johns is a better pizza. But for whatever reason, Papa Johns has a history of undercooking their pizza. I think they pull it out their oven to fast at times. So about 1 out of every 4 times I get them, I get a pizza with clumpy not fully cooked all the way cheese & it irritates the crap out of me. So to avoid being a Karen, we normally just roll with Dominos to avoid running into the issue. Lol

Now for Nostalgic reasons, I love a good pizza hut pizza. When they cook it right, it's hard to beat the pan crust. Will make you feel like dog turds afterwards, but man it's good.

We’ve ordered Papa John’s well-done, which is an option, to avoid the potential undercooking.

The Domino's closest to my house for delivery sometimes burns the crust of our pizza to a crisp so it's Papa John's for me if I want pizza delivery. If we are wanting side items with our pizza order we will order Domino's. My former neighbor had a son and daughter that worked at the Domino's near the house back in the day so they would often throw something in extra with our order back in the day.

I just love Rex-blocking our way to greatness. People throwing in the towel on winter in mid-February are not serious people.

Depends on where you are located. I think Those of us in SC are done. Matter of fact I’ll buy Mitch a large pizza if either of us see another flake this year.

Mellow Mushroom and Blaze are the only chain pizzas that matter

I like MM a lot although I haven’t been in awhile. I had Blaze a couple of times in Gainesville, FL way back in 2016. I thought it was decent enough to go back a second time. But although I usually enjoy thin crust, the very thin crust was thinner than I like. It was almost nonexistent.
