Wintry Machine Learning Mauler 1/30-2/1

I moved from the Charlotte area to Wilmington two years ago. I am so happy to see what has been happening today in that area. I've been chasing that Feb 2004 redo for almost 22 years and it looks soooo close to that now! I was there last weekend for the "meh sleetfest". I should've held off my visit for this weekend..lol. Anyways, I've enjoyed everyone's pictures and enthusiasm that has come with it. Waiting for our turn here on the southeastern coast!

I really am not sure with the drifting but at least 4-5 most of that since 3.

6.5" on the back deck rails which are somewhat sheltered, still ripping, wind beginning to pickup. That band from Aurora to Pink Hill is lifting N and should take on a more N-S orientation with time, it will likely do the trick for most of Pitt to hit double digits. Certainly a Bear Trap type forecast in the home stretch.

People saying Raleigh is the worst for snow as if we haven’t gotten some nice storms over the years while other places got blanked. I’m also incredibly frustrated and disappointed as anyone, but still think we scrap out an inch or two, this just wasn’t our storm.

I think I'm out of the dry slot. It basically filled in over me. Snowing nicely now. All exposed surfaces are coated. Just hoping for a few inches at this point.
Rooting for ya! You’re my RDU buddy who is on the other side of Falls Lake area (I’m just a few miles from the Durham Co edge of the lake) and I feel like usually we are pretty lockstep in precipitation since I’ve been posting on this forum, and I hate that y’all over there were on the bad edge of having 0 precip this whole afternoon
