Could be wrong, but the last several frames, it almost looks like the deform band is starting to come together.

It’s been snowing steadily but a lot of periods of tiny flakes/flurries that blow around in the wind and don’t accumulate efficiently. I was estimating around 4” visually until I actually measured.Strange for sure, I am up in Huntersville and will go out and measure soon but its been pouring up here for a while... at least at my place.
That’s why I’m not buying it for almost shutting out RDU. Seems to be under doing the precip big time.Once again, this is very wrong based on ground truth

This is going to be one of the all time greats in Charlotte. I’m glad I was bullish on this storm the last few days. Even my forecast of 6-12” will be conservative![]()
Are you east or west of 77?Webb , 6” now in Mooresville Hwy/152 think we hit 12”? I can’t even tell which way the pivot is coming

Absolutely we have,Absolutely no way y’all aren’t at 4 by now. I measured 45 minutes ago and was right at 5”
How many more hours you think we got?I’m right at 4 inches in Clemson, still snowing lightly too. It’s been an incredible storm and exceeded my expectations.

Agreed. I’ve seen in the past, the HRRR struggles with warm air in the 700-950 range. It wants to cut qpf.
It’s all over but the light snow for us. A few more hours worth, maybe 1/4 inch of extra accumulation. How many more hours you think we got?
I just got home from work and measured 4.25”. In a bit of a lull now but it’s still steady. BTW, already heaviest storm for my location since February 20144” now in Matthews still ripping

Hope you're right. This post was an hour ago and still nothing here.Right on que. Whole triangle will be covered in 90 mins. Moderate to heavy snow by 4 or 5pm.
Here it just keeps on pouring thankfully. We are going double digits. Close if, not over half way there now.
Wind is even gone up another notch.

At 15:1 that’s still at least a couple inches, and as has already been pointed out the HRRR isn’t preforming in real time. For the folks in Raleigh that still even want to see snow…HRRR trying after 7pm for a couple of hours. It’s something I guess.
Maybe we wake up to a dusting.

Why is this snow so loud? You can hear some of it hit the ground like it’s ice pellets. But it’s not?
Radar looks like it is trying to form a big band right on top of us folks Charlotte and North.East I’m where Hwy150/152 Meet
