Misc General Banter Thread

Yall want some ice in your sweet tea, better start praying that ice totals come to GA, rather than NC, cause i don't want ice in ANY of my drinks. Even bojangles doesnt listen to this, as they put ice in my cheerwine. 😠

Didn’t realize the Baja low hanging back could still result in amp issues as the TPV hangs back as well and digs further SW toward Montana. So we can’t have the baja eject too quickly or too slowly

Sucks we only had about a day of weenie runs to enjoy it. Now we get to see what could have been a historic snow be sleet and freezing rain.

What's changed? One tick warmer run of he Op Euro? AIFS Euro is still cold and fine. I think this is going to be Jan 22 on steroids ultimately for the CLT area. Front end thump of a few inches of snow, alot of sleet and freezing rain on top. Just like we always do. I'm up closer to 40 so I'll get a bigger front end thump, but still alot of sleet and freezing rain. My guess.

Maybe we'll stay all snow next week? :)

I don’t get the doom and gloom. 12z overall was encouraging
Piedmont / Foothills / upstate is very due for a snowstorm. Snow trend to ice trend is going to throw them in a catastrophic depression... Kinda like the ice storm Columbia will get with 6 sleet pellets mixed in.

Even the Euro was a major snow for almost all of NC and the GFS was a hit for the entire board. Also this was never going to be 100% snow but for a few people on the board
I get what you are saying. Our storms are usually all precip types. I’m just saying it does look like we will see more ice, I guess time will tell.

I mean we've got model progs calling for a borderline biblical event that either has never happened or almost never happens. I don't think 2" of ZR is going to happen just because it almost never does. This probably will walk back into something still significant but maybe less catastrophic. When have we ever had 2" of ZR in ATL with temps in the low 20s?

Sure we're dealing with an anomalously strong HP/cold press and lots of moisture, but wouldn't surprise me to see this change. Also lots of model runs til go time. Dont know why people are cliff diving because mega biblical event has changed to simply regular biblical.
