Misc General Banter Thread

Also, how concerning is the sleet to freezing rain crew here… for instance, if you get 2 inches of sleet, then 0.5 inch of ice… do those totals combine for ice totals/impact? Will sleet get trapped under the freezing rain creating higher accum on trees/Powerlines?

.5 ice can be damaging enough, there is wind with this thing too. Sleet or no sleet. But yes, I think the winter preciep sandwich isn’t gonna help.

If we we going to amp up into a cutter and get a huge ice storm, out me out. I’ve lived through a couple and I’m good with not enduring another one. We knew it was probably going to do this. Who knows, maybe it’s a cold rain by Saturday.

Probably have more oscillations like this in the modeling coming by the looks of things today. Lot of model runs left between now and this weekend though.

Not likely for you if you’re in Huntersville. You’re solidly in this thing. Congrats

Listen I’d go to battle for the UKMET but I guarantee you I’m not throwing a party over it and/or the CMC lol.

I like living in NY but rooting for myself feels weird. I feel like I’m part of the evil empire snow-wise

Think this is the first time ever I'm wishing a storm north, don't see very many scenarios where this thing trends south enough to give sav or chs anything besides a hellacious zr storm. Makes it a lot less fun to track
Feel free to send it north right here. Ice and all.
