Unwell. Too battered and broken to enjoy what is undoubtedly the greatest tracking session since Christmas 2010
With QPF of ~1" at RDU and temps staying in the teens through most of the event, I wonder what the snow ratios would be. I know kuchera is supposed to take that into account, but you would think some could see crazy high ratios.
Oh, and I'm going to be pissed if this storm doesn't happen.

I can't believe the thing that has screwed the south over the last couple of winters(Baja low not ejecting) might now actually benefit my backyard at least in terms of limiting ice. Kind of crazy how I'm rooting for it now.

Well for me, the Baja wave hanging back and allowing the long fetch overrunning across the southern US looked like a really good deal. Now, that deal may be playing with fire as this push of Arctic air as modeled seems a bit overpowering to a degree. Or at least you can see the possibility of it becoming too overbearing and in the end we may need a strong wave to fight through it. Just a few of my what if’s. Obviously this is a lot of fun to track either way. I’m here for it

My kids saw the Apple forecast app that says 4-5” on Saturday and 15-18” on Sunday here in NC. 
My 7 year old, who can add now, said, “ Dad that’s like 20”!!!! I told them, “you know what? I hope we get one of those storms you tell your own kids about one day.” For me that was Jan 25, 2000… and here we are… January 25th. Got to be good vibes there!

I was sitting there looking at EPS members showing 2 feet of snow earlier when I should have been asleep because I'm still working tonight and now I'm actually worried I may be too far north 3 hours later all because of the dumbest models we have

I do think it came pretty far NW right at the last minute, just not quite enough for Charlotte and north. But hopefully we won’t have to worry about that this time.

I do know one thing…. I cannot EVER remember a time when Spann jumped on board this early. I am alittle south of the line right now but I am going to prepare just in case. When this many outlets talking about it, people are going to panic and clear the shelves regardless what happens.
