Been telling y’all since mid December our shelf waters off the coast are running decently below average. That matters in situations like this for us near the coast to limit warmth at the surface. A degree or two is all it takes sometimes.

glad to see the euro killed all the thread momentum

Reality check! We'll see. Even with the GEFS, it still looks like a scraper and eastern Carolina storm. It's backed up west enough, but it's still not affecting the surface much. I haven't seen anything to change my mind other than the old, "overrunning will fill in west" hope.

I think it’s funny that parts of Georgia are under a Freeze Watch. I mean why? There’s already been numerous Freezes this winter.

Based on what I've been seeing around here with me looking closer earlier this week, south GA was likely knocking on the door of springtime involving plants.

That will obviously be halted now though before things could've potentially gotten really messy (as in have stuff bloom and then wham! hard freeze!).

And as bad as last year turned out when we lost that January storm south, it still found a way to snow along and south of I-85. When you’re used to being a bottom feeder it really wasn’t all that bad
Man I laughed at this lol. I do remember hrrr runs being dry hours before, and even during it snowing lightly here. Streets got turned white, and grass a bit. I do forget it snowed a bit with that one, even when most models were dry

No chance I have the 🥜 to go read last years beach snow. It would cause me to be negative and I doing it. No way, no how. We have Webber on our side and there’s no way those areas can go back to back.

Remember last year we had a storm here around the 21st of January. I remember the models were pretty back and forth with solutions up until 24 hours out. The Euro was also the last to jump on board with the threat 3 days out.
