Yeh the trough axis is not great at all. I think the period after this will need to be watched also with an active Southern jet.

It's 10+ days out, just find solace that the overall picture is looking pretty good right now. PV looking more likely to set up over SE Canada. Still a waffle on how much of a PNA ridge will pop but the trends are encouraging.
