Pattern December Doldrums 2025 🎄 ❄️

You mean the worst model there is, especially when dealing with wedges, folded? And we still have a week to go? It'll be in the 30's and 40's at this rate.

Even Christmas Eve is quickly trending cooler in the CAD area. NC in 40's and 50's. north of 85 down in the upper 50's now. We are at least heading towards an average Christmas and Christmas eve temp wise at least at this rate. We were in the upper 60's and low 70's yesterday.

Know been bad winter when people thrilled with 40. 50 s for xmas
Highs lol
Been below normal everyday this winter, seen flakes 3 separate occasions. Actually off to an A+ start.
Ill take all the 40 degree rain days , Mother nature throws my way. I get enough of the heat, working in it. Burning that fireplace is always preferable over running the AC.

Day after Christmas probably gonna be warmest day in quite sometime, wouldn’t shock me if some areas try to approach 80 when all set and done View attachment 179246View attachment 179247

Yeah odds are the 23rd and Christmas Eve are on the chillier side. Christmas Day we transition with the CAD eroding as the meridional pressure gradient reverses over the Apps. Then, Friday and Saturday are really mild. Maybe we get another parting cold shot that Sunday or Monday?

really i think the best course of action is probably to argue about this on the internet for the next week, that way if you like warmth you can be mad about people who like cold rooting for cold, and if you like cold you can be mad about it being warm. i think that is probably the best use of everyone's time

We are always in that "BATTLE ZONE"...😂

60’s are pleasant. No one feels warm in the 60’s. It’s just not hot enough to be warm and just not cool enough to be cold. It’s good mid winter weather when you need a break from the cold. But it’s not all that it’s cracked up to be. As long as it’s not raining I’ll consider it a W though

To me it depends on what kind of 60s. 60s with sunny skies and dewpoints below 40 is nice but 60s with overcast and dewpoints in the 50s isn’t.

60s in the Fall = Nice!
60s in the spring = polleny, sticky mess
60s in the winter = depressing
60s in the summer = Heavenly

I agree to an extent but
-60s highs in winter here is near normal (low to mid 60s) and thus is frequent. If I were depressed by 60s highs in winter, I’m be living in the wrong place.

-60s in spring is largely cooler than normal here and thus are more than welcome if accompanied by sunshine. But spring is polleny in general and the bugs come out making it not too enjoyable in general for me.

-60s or lower highs in summer here are extremely rare. The few that have occurred have been mainly in early to mid June.

I don't think I've ever seen a high in the 60s in July. And 80s is the norm for much of the spring.

This 59 degree rain combined with cold ground and water is making perfect pea soup fog over every bare field and body of water in the Pee Dee right now. Kinda neat.
