Pattern Outside of the SE thread

Goofy starting early this year

Interestingly I've seen some talk about Halloween weekend but like it's literally been so unbelievably warm this month we haven't even had a fall yet so yeah

I mean the stretch coming up til then looks pretty decent but it took awhile

Yeah that’s the way it goes. If you don’t get a fall, you get stuck going straight to winter

I would much rather see it get colder mid December and on past that and take my chances at that point. Even though there was an icestorm in October 2020

Yeah I know... I don't even care about all the Arctic air and negative wind chills it never ends well here... That was proven in February again

Remember our 7 inches in January came with borderline temperatures. I honestly just want one good storm

It takes a very special pattern to get snow/ice outside of higher elevations in the fall here

Yeah I dont disagree I mean even here... We're better off here than most people on this board(i certainly wouldnt want to be in Alabama still or even like most of Arkansas) but still even here many years there's barely any snow... Or it only snows like a dusting or an inch here and there to get to the inch average... Moisture is a problem a lot here instead of temps like back east. Like when I went to Kansas City and their biggest snowstorm in 50 years was 11 inches. That's kind of sad for not being that far away lol

I'm definitely a lot more cautious going into this winter and trying to warn people that all the signals in the world don't mean anything

I mean who would have thought October would be this hot. Or how the hurricane season has been after all the hype...
