Pattern December, Make analogs relevant again

It’s one run . This run won’t be the final solution . I bet not even close . Looks way too cold

This is the second gfs run in a row that had snow for the SE. 18z cold chasing moisture tail end snow, then this 0Z run with a possible winterstorm on our hand. I can see this happening. Its really not that long until this low starts coming from the north. Could be a start of a new trend.

I like how the cold stormy pattern shifted from here to there in a couple of runs
If the same exact place gets it again 100 miles just south of me, I give up. That means South Mississippi has had a better winter than I ever have had, and 2 good snows around Christmas, one on Christmas Day... that’s just messed up lol... thank god it’s more than 7 days away, but just got that sick feeling looking at that map, sure you did to. Lol

Dont even get me started

I know the rest of yall need the cutoff gone but this was supposed to be our storm lol

It is a week away though...

It's getting far ahead of myself as I know that things change from run to run, but while it seems like cold chasing moisture, temps are even fine in this hypothetical system. They quickly go below freezing.

Maybe eastward it is though.

Yeah! Being in the bullseye 7 to 9 days out sucks!!!

I just don’t think it’s fair for the same place to get 2 storms unless it’s over my house then it’s fair. Lol I was just thinking it would be crazy if Birmingham got more yearly snow then say St. Louis.

Hard freezes deep down into FL 12/28 and 12/29!!! Is this the extreme -EPO 12/1983 analog being reenacted!?!?
Lol, not sure how cold it will be, all i know is it could be. 1983 was a cold year yes? Why cant we reenacted it? The gfs has been showing the artic highs that has been pretty remarkable, and this run has one big cold shot vrs two separate ones.

Massive difference with the ridge location and orientation on the west coast. That is a much better look than 18z and gives a very 1/14 like overrunning storm.

If we can keep that look, we aught to have something.

No I meant snow
It's going to take some good trends to get this thing to us. We don't do so well when our cold air source is west of the Appalachians. We had some CAD showing up the past couple of days but it kind of went poof. It won't suprise me if it shows back up. That's really what we need

When you are referring to CAD that consist of freezing rain and sleet and no snow right

If any snow, I bet it's going to fall/accumulate where the snow fell during the recent winter storm. Synchronicity, I'm telling you, synchronicity.
