40 degrees, some snow still on ground and rooftops. 6th day lol. Crazy.

37 with a dew point of 20... winds calm. Just bathed my dog, typical pain, having a frosty Founders Porter, enjoying a night off from work.

Cold outside, saw some meteors, came back inside. I don't know how those star gazers in Canada, where it's -5F, are doing it!

Too cold for me. My furnace didn’t want to start last night so it got down to the upper 40s in my house. Thank goodness for a heated blanket while I slept, but it was very cold getting ready. I hope to get it fixed tonight.

As of this date Chattanooga is still .2 degrees above normal, thanks to the warm start. Lowest temp so far this month (and season) is 24. Last year by this date the lowest temp was 23. Snowfall so far this season: .4" to last year's zero.

Why all you guys making @SoutheastRidge basically talk to himself?

The weather is boring here in SC, but surely, some of you guys have something going on!

I can understand it being very repetitious in the summer but this time of year ? I would think your weather would be a lot more variable.
One would think, but lately it bounces 80º-55º for four or five days, then 65º-35º for three or four, then bounces right back; it's really been sterile and not at all exciting as opposed to many past years

How many freezes have you had so far ?

I remember when I was on the old board (where a lot of southeast posters used to hang out), one of the first things I did was create an observations thread. But I tired of it as I got no replies other than me.

That board still exists, but we all dispersed to that previous board, American, and eventually, southernwx.

34 here right now forecast high is 49 as of yesterday and was upper 50s only 3 days ago....last night got down to 28.9 with the forecast low of 36.........

41 degrees and breezy here in Atlanta. Surprising still had some decent patches of snow in the woods behind my home this morning.
I think the low sun angle this time of year really helps to keep snow on the ground longer even with warm temps.

Freezes so far at CHA (official)--
Oct: 2
Nov: 5
Dec: 7 so far
Total: 14

Total last year to this date: 8

We are just chilly enough around these parts to feel uncomfortable outdoors. Hate it! Either be cold for a fireplace, or warm enough to not have to wear a jacket. :|

the cold air in northern canada yesterday is enlarging and moving south, in mid canada yesterday it was about plus10 on average today it is minus 10......the norther USA had some upper 40s and now has mostly 30s..... no matter what any model says that air is moving south now and has plenty of time to reach the SE this weekend.

it appears an upper air low that was broad over new mexico is drifting east of el paso now and consolidating at bit this morning......

It was another cloudy day here. A few peeks of sunshine this morning. High was 48 and low was 41. The low may end up occurring before midnight tonight.

our 10 freezes in a row finally broken last night... only -.9 degrees BN for the month. Cold snap after Christmas should bring the month solidly back BN after a boatload of rain and relative warmth. Coldest temp so far this season: 23. sub 40 Highs: 2 so far.

What a glorious day. Heavy rainfall all day. Lol

2nd widespread rain event this week and another looks likely Friday after having no rain basically for weeks
