Not sophisticated in polls. School year is winding down, pool season is almost here, so, too, is hurricane season. Any quirky names are fine by me. SD will pick the top name for this thread. Discuss away.

I still have not put my chair away yet! ☃️?
 
6z GFS shows a series of cool fronts pushing through the plains the first week of May but none of them clear the apps until the 7th. There's a heat build up prior to the front on the 4th and 5th.

The 12z run seems to want to beat down the ridge a bit sooner, suppressing the heat on the 4th and 5th a bit.

The front still passes on the 7th but not quite as cool. Overall, nice trend on temps for the beginning of May and keeping the big heat away as long as possible!

We are about to do the late spring dance around here for the next 2 weeks. Some summer like days followed by some spring days, should be a mix of what everyone is looking for

Still no 90 at PGV yet, looks like that wont happen till after May 6th which is the mean first date....
