This is --------, mostly because I dont hate or dislike someone simply because they are Russian.....and I never said or implied I did.....when I say Russia I mean it in the most general of terms....read this there are lots a ------ Russians that totally buy all the BS propaganda Putin and state media are putting out there...

I also have Rus haritiage and am Gay. I should be the first to condemn Russia, but I don't condemn it's people. I condemn Putin and Kadyrov for what they did to my brothers and sisters.

On some level the general Russian population has been conditioned over the generations to not speak out and to believe the government without question ( since questions get you a 1 way ticket to gulag ) and this is still prevalent now. Putin and the state media force these lies on the people but a fair amount of the people got no problem hating though again they have been conditioned this way.....I compare it the the German people of the 1930's slowly conditioned to accept horrible atrocities to Jews......the same thing happens now in the Russian media with the "nazi's" in Ukraine.

Clippers are trash. But then again, so are the Lakers this year. But Bron still going to win the scoring title...at 37, if somebody kneecaps Embiid. #ukraine
 
Some common man on the street interviews with Russian people.....this is what I mean by conditioned to hate, they see Ukrainians as less than human or nazi's and dont care if they are all slaughtered.....the irony for the first guy is the fact Ukraine has been settles a lot longer than Russia....

Haha yea they are. I was more so thinking about it from a 2000s perspective. Everyone in LA was a Lakers fan when I lived there... and then you would randomly see someone with a Clippers and just wonder what went wrong in their life.
 
Calling everyone that is pro-Ukraine and against Russia a Biden supporter is a very aggressive take.

I’m not for war with Russia. It’s not wise unless forced. But I do agree with the western world sending weapons to Ukraine, if you don’t and just go “awe shucks, because of “insert reason”, we should just let it ride outside of sending humanitarian aid” (which would’ve likely turned Ukraine over to Putin because those weapons likely helped), it can send a message of weakness, just like how you have folks that think the Afghanistan situation sent a message of weakness.

this is Russia vs NATO I have no idea whos on the right side of things.. However when you have every media outlet (right and left) saying and painting the same picture usually means some dis info is in play

This is mind boggling to me.....how can Russia possibly be on the right side of this.....as for the second bolded it exactly the opposite, when the Dems and GOP largely agree on something its the opposite of disinformation.....
 
I can get on board with calling it a proxy war.

What I can't get on board with is the idea that for "insert reason", the best choice to do would've been just to send humanitarian aid and hold back on the weapons. In my opinion, that can potentially send a message of weakness, similar to how what happened in Afghanistan last year may have.

I liked for the last part. Hard to see how Russia is on the right side of things by invading another country. How we should respond or be involved is debatable.

What happened to our daily chemical and cyber attack alerts, btw?

Civil War in Africa is nothing new. Its been happening for generations. Im sure people care but its not the same as what is happening in Ukraine

Nobody in the CONUS has died from ISIS, but thousand's have in Africa similar to the horrific scenarios in Ukraine.

YET....Nobody has died yet. I fought them. I know what they are responsible for and capable of. Africa isnt my #1 priority. Neither is Ukraine. Im sorry Africa isnt getting the attention you want but that isnt America's fault

Same US involvement in Ukraine, but for the same attention to be focused on other parts of the world. So far China is helping Africa more than the West. For example, China provided humanitarian aid to south africa after the deadly riots(300+ dead), but not a word on the West's news. The country is suffering still and might collapse soon from the damage and high unemployment.

Again.....we wont even protect OUR OWN BORDER! South Africa isnt a national security issue

I dunno man, I was thinking more of what you were talking about with ISIS committing atrocities in African countries and civil wars. Maybe one of those would be better examples of Western apathy than South Africa, which I believe is considered by many to be a western country at least culturally?

My uncle was building a airport in Angola and ISIS came and butchered his workers in front of him with a axe and let him live for whatever reason, probably for survivors guilt. He has never been the same since. These type of actions never make the news cycle. I wish folks here would focus on their borders, some Americans truly do not know how good they have it in the US. USA is extremely blessed.

When I was in Ramadi 2006 I saw it firsthand. There are things I saw from ISIS that I wouldn't talk about with my wife until I retired in 2017. They are here NOW and we let them walk right in but it's a sore subject and offends some people so I'll leave it at that.

Also in Afghanistan runing the show and motoring around in billions of dollars of American Military Equiptment. Whooping up on,lashing and killing countless allies we turned our backs on. Yet somehow those facts and our own southern border being overthrown are irrelevant.
 
Most people cannot imagine that the media and google would lie like they do. Yet, they do & it's SAD, that Boobis American(s) believe everything, watched ON tee vee

I have become accustomed to the fact that not only do most people not live in the same reality that I do, but that none of them want to hear about it.

Hearing about facts that offer a different point of view than offered by the media seems to unsettle them and most people seem to be unable to handle it.
