I think the Dems, especially the left wing, have been much too aggressive with their push to replace fossil fuels with green energy. They’re way too one sided about this and this is liable to hurt the US at some point. But the good news for now is that US oil production is coming back nicely from COVID related production drops and is projected to hit a new record high by next year. And NG production and exports are both headed for another record year this year. All of this despite Biden’s stance toward green and away from fossil fuels.
Regarding the stoppage of Keystone XL construction in the US by Biden in 2021, that as we know has nothing to do with US oil production but rather Canadian imports. That pipeline was only 8% completed when Biden stopped it. So, nothing would have flowed from it for several more years from now meaning we wouldn’t have a lowered demand for Russian oil yet had Biden not stopped it. But within a few years, it would have helped. I wasn’t and am still not in favor of stopping it and thus disagree with Biden.
