Instead of painting a Z on their equipment they might as well just paint a bullseye on them.No wonder so many Russians are abandoning their tanks, it’s a metal coffin. You just can’t defend against that type of attack.

Putin wants southern Ukraine (Odessa) because its a warm water port. Been saying it since last week.
Odessa is a major terminal hub for oil. He already has crimea but Odessa is the prize. He wants control of the black seaPlease forgive my ignorance but, Russia already borders a warm water port. Or can construct one.
Can someone enlighten me please. Russia borders the Black Sea on the right of the map:

As Sandbar indicated, they want Odessa cause of it's infrastructure and traffic. Those warm water ports in Russia are located in inconvenient areas, and they don't want to share the Sea of Azov with a hostile Ukrainian Military/Navy. Odessa has roads, air ports, storage, and multiple rivers. Please forgive my ignorance but, Russia already borders a warm water port. Or can construct one.

Odessa has an international seaport and airport as well as a long cultural history. If he controls the black sea it's a military defense and economic advantage to RussiaAs Sandbar indicated, they want Odessa cause of it's infrastructure and traffic. Scratch that thought. Russia wants all those Ukrainian ports to facilitate trade.
They don't have one, but, could build one. This war is about other items (ALSO) like borders, oil, and farm landPlease forgive my ignorance but, Russia already borders a warm water port. Or can construct one.
Can someone enlighten me please. Russia borders the Black Sea on the right of the map:

When we're a superpower and have the world's reserve currency, we tend not to worry about such things. Confiscating private property of citizens in other countries, cascading sanctions, etc. is all going to have ripple effects downstream that will end up not benefiting the US. But it feels good to stick to the bad guys, and we live in a feel good world now. My advice is to just do your best to keep you and your family as prepared and self-sustainable as possible.I’m all for sanctioning Russia and I definitely have no problem sanctioning China, but I don’t like this approach at all of sanctioning a nation because they don’t sanction a nation. It screams of a roadmap for blocks of countries sanctioning us in the future.
Yep, agree on all points. When we're a superpower and have the world's reserve currency, we tend not to worry about such things. Russia is failing so they are literally trying to break the morale and force a surrender. I get Ukraine's resolve and resiliency but how long can they realistically endure this
Personally I could hold out until I drew my last breath, as I'm sure there are many on here and around like that, but collectively as a society I'm not too sure. Most can't survive without AC and wifi so I have my doubts.Ask yourself how long we would hold out if this was happening to us in our country and towns fighting for our homes....I cant imagine, I try to ask myself these same things and I cant see how we would ever surrender, so I guess for a lot of these Ukrainians the answer is the same......the Russians are gonna pay in blood for every inch they take.
It's fine, in fact, if you look at the #IstandwithPutin or #IstandwithRussia on social media you start to see why some feel that way. Not that I agree it's just the propaganda machine is in full force and has more avenues then ever to get the info out there and it's winning over many from other countries. There is a strong anti-American sentiment with it for sure.Am I allowed to say that I'm disappointed that I'm beginning to see a lot of pro-Russian/Russian apologist sentiment on social media? Sorry if that is too political.
