Another country has joined the fray in attacking Ukraine.... Unless it's still the Russians

FIFA's hand is really being pushed now with Russia. The other day these three nations came out refusing to play Russia. In Russia. They are now saying that they will not play Russia anywhere, under any circumstances. The issue is that unless FIFA steps in these three nations would essentially be forfeiting and Russia would qualify without having to kick a ball. FIFA hasn't always been the most moral organization so it will be interesting to see how they react. Screenshot_20220227-074335_Twitter.jpg

Did Germany get to play during ww2? Or any other examples of them not letting countries play because of ---- their countries were doing?

Yeah these peace talks are a complete waste of time

Ukraine is flat kicking the ---- out of Russia at this point, Russia sent a bunch of conscripts in who had be many accounts not even been told it was a for real shooting war, they thought they were doing live fire drills etc....the disorganization of the Russian army is horrible and the hit and run tactics the Ukrainians are using in their rear supply lines is costly. I can totally see where Russia has lost 3-5k troops either killed or captured and hundreds if not over a 1000 vehicles....plus dozens of aircraft and helicopters.

These videos are just some of dozens that show the Russian supply and rear areas being hammered preventing Russia from being able to organize and mount assaults on the major cities they are trying to take.

Yup, Ukraine is gonna be like GTFO. All it does is make Russia look weak IMO. What a blunder this is turning into for Putin, I'm not so sure he is all there anymore.

Maybe Putin is not totally in control anymore, there were no pre conditions to these "talks" no ask for guarantees, that's odd coming from him. I imagine if Putin is still in charge then this is all for show trying to make Russia look like it is trying to avoid bloodshed but in reality all they will do is threaten Ukraine with total war and try to get them to give up. Putin really needs the Ukraine to do like he thought they would and stop kicking his armies rear end all over the place.

So do y'all think Putin is sabre rattling with his nuclear arsenal now that he sees he's not winning. My main worry with the success of this resistance is he will feel he has no other option than to go nuclear.

Hypothetical speaking here but would Putin be crazy enough to drop a nuke on Chernobyl as a sort of I mean business threat..? Considering Chernobyl is still basically a ghost town. He's not getting his way currently, a nuclear detonation in Chernobyl is least of consequence area. Still bad downwind etc etc. But idk, no real telling with Putin at this point. You'd probably have to plant a nuke and not shoot it there to bypass false flags from other countries countering your nuclear threat.

IMO, Russia was never the military power people believed. This conflict is exposing their outdated equipment and tactics, along with a cultural disconnect where the people fighting the war, aren’t necessarily committed to fighting the war. This is a complete disaster for Putin. He looks weak, Russia looks weak, and now sanctions will likely set the Russian people back decades.

If he did something that stupid it becomes a threat to all NATO nations. They are already sending Putin a pretty strong message......

I thought there would be no invasion and he would just occupy the 2 eastern provinces. He had a horrible battle plan and didnt hit them with everything the first hour.

Why in the world would he drop a nuclear missile on Chernobyl and send up nuclear waste that will inevitably affect him and his country? What in the world? Come on man.

Hypothetical, Putin is a crazy man that could make drastic measures for his security. Don't think we are dealing with a man that has all his marbles

I think that's what everyone thought until about a week before the declaration of war that came out on Wednesday night.

Apparently, the only group that knew in advance were Kadyrov's troops. They knew 3 weeks in advance and when the Russian generals found out, they were very surprised.

It will be interesting to see the results of the peace talks. I am curious if Putin is serious or if it’s a big dog and pony show. With the results we are hearing on the ground it is plausible Putin wants to find a way out. Basically his only options are to have productive peace talks or escalate the conflict/weaponry with significant civilian casualties. I can’t see him continuing his current battle plan and have more men and equipment mowed down.

No he's not. Some of these posts act like he's completely insane and has no control over his actions. He is not going to launch nuclear weapons. Unless someone attacks him in a nuclear fashion, he's not going to send a radioactive cloud over Europe and Asia.

I really hope not, he's done a lot of stupid things already. Putin is a bit unhinged though even if he's not completely insane.

Did Germany get to play during ww2? Or any other examples of them not letting countries play because of ---- their countries were doing? the entire world cup was canceled during ww2.
Germany was barred from international competition following ww2. Also South Africa was suspended for a lengthy time back in the 60s. Just a couple of days ago Zimbabwe and Kenya were suspended by fifa for "government interference" so what does Russia have to do at this point. Or are they simply lining FIFA's pockets to much?

Exactly. Anyone thinking nukes needs to go research them more. No one wins. We’ve had enough crazies with a nuclear button in the past. Even they knew the ramifications enough to use restraint.

He missed his card on the turn and his only out is to bluff and up the bet. He’s got too much committed.

Putin wants access to Odessa on black sea. Its a warm water port that he doesn't currently have. Its about having control of that region. Lets see what this "peace meeting" is about
