Yeah once again we have no idea what is real or not because very little is being confirmed with actual evidence. I understand rooting for Ukraine and being cautiously optimistic, but I don’t understand those saying that Russia is getting their teeth kicked in (not anybody here, just saying in general). Hopefully the picture will be more clear in the next couple of days (hopefully on the positive side for Ukraine).

The Russian soldiers being killed are not pipe hitters I can assure you but when a nation being occupied becomes emboldened to devend their homeland they win over the nations watching it unfold. Their is no way for Putin to win here. If he eventually takes Kiev it will be bloody as hell and then he has to hold it. I said at the beginning to take media reports with a huge grain of salt but Ukraine is putting up a hell of a fight here!

The Russians are losing. The fact that they haven’t taken basically any Ukrainian cities or towns yet and there’s multiple videos and pictures of their equipment being destroyed or captured let’s me know they’re quite frankly getting their asses kicked by an undermanned and under armed country that is getting the job done off of the shear will and hate for the Russians.

True, although I’ve seen blown up equipment that was supposedly Russian that turned out to be Ukrainian. It’s hard to tell sometimes given they use a lot of the same equipment.

No doubt the Russians are suffering heavy losses, though. The question remains if it’s just as bad for Ukraine, though.

I get what you are saying and I hope you are right! I am no military expert by any means. It took us three weeks to capture Baghdad and we are only talking 3 days here. Not saying it’s the same situation but just for reference, it’s early.

We are also making assumptions based on the reports we see. Has anyone seen an official report of Ukrainian casualties? It’s hard to find that info. Last I saw it was like 137 Ukraine deaths. Are we to believe that they only lost 137 and Russia has lost 3500? I don’t know, it just seems like we are only getting one side of the propaganda. Propaganda has a role to play for morale, so I am all for Ukraine overstating enemy deaths to gain advantage mentally. I am just tempering my expectations of a Ukraine victory as much as I want it to happen. But like I said, everything we see may be legit and they are whooping their tail, let’s hope so!

I agree with what you are saying, I don’t see how Putin wins in the long run. Will be very difficult to hold the cities he captures, especially if the West continues to support the Ukrainian insurgents that are still in country. I was more just talking about the initial battle we are seeing unfold now.

It took us 3 weeks because we did it correctly to minimize civilian casualties as well as our own. Putin miscalculated the people of Ukraine and their resistance. Like I mentioned before, the first troops they sent in are not assault forces but basically scouts that mark targets, get ground Intel and feel out what resistance the assault forces will face. Not pipe hitters by any means. With that being said this is still going badly for Putin at all levels
