Putin went for the throat Day 1 and missed bad! Ukraine stood up now he has a big choice. Level it (beyond stupid) or fight man to man urban style and lose thousands of soldiers in a bloodbath. He has already lost the propeganda war he thought he would get and win.

Leveling Ukraine is a guaranteed win for Russia. Putin could just drop a bunch of father of all bombs and be done in a day. But thank goodness I don’t think Putin gonna do something that stupid. At least not unless nato pushes him to

How is that a win Jessy? If the goal was to level a city and render it useless he could have already done that. He didnt hit major infrastructure to start and that tells you everything you need to know. Putin wants Ukraine to be Russia in a takeover of government. His bluff has been called

You level a country then go in rebuild it. Then install a new Government that’s how it would be a win.

You'd almost certainly see NATO retaliation, no one would allow Russia to do that. Very brazen war crimes with killing of lots of civilians if he did that.

Well we hope that Putin doesn’t do that. But if Nato got involved Putin is crazy enough he’d probably try to use nukes. You know the difference between Russia and North Korea is Russia’s bombs work especially the hypersonic missiles I’m not entirely sure those can be shot down. This is a scary situation I just hope it stays in Ukraine and doesn’t spread outside of Ukraine. Better yet I hope it all comes to a end soon

Can you stop the call for Nukes in every post? No country uses nukes unless it’s the last thing they can do. As in their country is getting taken over. On top of that most of his nukes would be shot right out of the sky.

Good post, America has a very well established missile defense system as well not to mention the many subs sitting on the shores around America that would have multiple missiles trying to intercept a nuke if shot this way.

It's a bluff, sudam Hussain used it so did north Korean dictator. They know if they do something stupid, they'll get smeared off the face of the earth.

No one wins a nuclear war. We would have retaliatory nukes in the air before his even hit. It would be suicide and murder. I don’t think even a crazy Putin would do that. Tactical nukes maybe but I doubt it.

America’s missile defense system wouldn’t be much help in a nuclear exchange, though. Whatever capability we have in that area would be easily overwhelmed by hundreds of missiles. Also, Russia has nuclear tipped cruise missiles and strategic bombers, anyways.

My father in law is polish, he's been keeping a eye on it cause he has relatives there. So in technicality I have family in Poland, I also have relatives in Ukraine and Russia. Don't really know how they feel but I know my female relative has always been embarrassed she's been Russian and has tried to completely destroy any ties with her Russian family. I imagine all family ties will be cut off if relations stay bad with America and Russia. As her mother would visit every year but probably couldn't with this developing situation

Your right. I don’t like the threat of nuclear war. But I do wonder the options of stopping the warheads. And I’ve just always been curious how that would be done.

You know what I’d do as president to bring peace and stability. I know Nato was created because of countries like Russia. But I think maybe discuss adding Russia to Nato. Bold controversial with a nut like Putin yes. But wouldn’t aligning with Russia be good for the world? If Russia was a nato country they wouldn’t be a threat.
