We will ---- them up too@SD i would be more mad if this ended up being our storm and the pattern went right back to warm SER .. we got so many threats I can’t even keep up with the threads .. what’s a winter without a good ice storm ?
This will verify… see the snow dome over Walker county ?View attachment 106576Nutty map for AL, still looks good for eastern Blount and Etowah and points north but wow it’s close to boom or bust.

Many parts of Ga was saved from having a major ice storm by 1 degree in many places. So far it’s a bust here. Next
I was worried about the exact same thing. But the fact that FFC expanded WWA further south gives me a little bit of hope.Yeah I was worried about not being cold enough for the front end and then the ULL performing well to the west and petering out as it races through us. Odd that FFC expanded the WWA to the southwest.

ATL got brutally shafted on this one, F it.
You will be begging for the snow to stop by the end of the month ?It’s just bad luck. The problem with the dry slot is you seem to just get stuck in it.
On the bright side, several chances in the coming week or two!

I wish. Literally I wishYou will be begging for the snow to stop by the end of the month ?
I feel like the models have been pretty spot on so far. Our dewpoints never supported snow on the front side, that was apparent yesterday, and we still could get something from the back. The dry slot was always shown in the middle time frame. It’s just bad luck. The problem with the dry slot is you seem to just get stuck in it.
On the bright side, several chances in the coming week or two!

Seen a lot of events over the years that ended with rain above freezing, but I don't remember it happening when it was down to 25 degrees. Astounding.
RadioShack was awesome ! Shame it’s gone . I saw this in Washington nc though. Is it an actual radio shack? Official name ok google maps is “ Thomason TV and RadioShack”

It will, like a FedEx package, never! ??Reaaaaally gonna need late week to deliver
Non event ?I’ve seen rain and 21f in Fuquay-Varina - wasn’t all that long ago either.
I'm cautiously optimistic that next week might bring us the goods when it comes to an actual snow accumulation. I believe we will have more upper level cold air to work with and if the storm tracks a little farther south we will be in the money. I still want to be able to build a snowman with my snow loving four year old grandfather and if things really go well, my father in law in Goldsboro will be able to make some snow cream. He actually set his alarm for 4 AM this morning hoping for snow but like many of us he was disappointed again.Reaaaaally gonna need late week to deliver
LOL, yea a lot of those old scanners never stop working. Saw a few that could have been like yours.Yes it was! For Christmas in 1978 I got one of their eight channel Realistic crystal scanners and I remember staying up until midnight listening to the fire, sheriff's department and rescue calls on it and of course the NWS weather radio station in Raleigh. Even though technology has advanced light years since then, I still have that scanner and yes, it still works! In fact I still listen to the NWS on it from time to time.
mistakes can be made but I already ripped up my notebook and burned it
Cut it out and give us an obs from Garner for cryin out loud. I wanna know if it's sleeting there or not.How is Scotty's forecast doing? #smh
