I walked out of class and decided to walk up to the observatory. I should have taken pictures but visibility was too low.Did you hike up to Owen Hall? Those were the best in snow or driving rain storms lol.

Gotta improve thisThis next round looks a little more legit @SD those storms look primed at this point
I absolutely LOVE the first cold front of autumn here in southeast LA. Seeing the azure deep blue skies, with a few feathery cirrus clouds streaming high overhead. Feeling the cool breezes pulsing past, smelling that crisp, dry autumnal rarified air. All the wait through 6 months of sweat, humidity, burning heat, annoying insects, and the like... it all becomes worth it for the glory of the new season roaring in!
Myfro is quivering in his boots right now
Fantastic!! I want to hike it one day, one thing is for sure, Im too chicken to drive down. I dont trust my brakes. Ive taken 2 cars to Grnadfather before and feel lucky to be alive. How long was the hike timewise? The wife and I hiked to the top of Mt. Mitchell a number of years ago in June and witnessed rain mixed with wet snow at times, fantastic weather up there!
Wonder if one of those peaks you see to the south is Black mntI’ve been once in November. It was like 19 degrees on top, 50 in Asheville View attachment 91307View attachment 91308View attachment 91309
Can confirm. It's amazing out here
The ones in the southern and western piedmont are moving NE. But as soon as anything gets on the doorstep of our zone, it starts moving due north or back building or dying out like there's a wall up.Gotta improve this
