Indeed. We did it last year but before that we didn't for like 12 years so we were kind of due

Not surprising given the mean lowest max is 62. Being a few degrees on the lower side of that will happen like today’s 57. Now what is abnormal...... is today’s mid day temps . If those were the highs we would have broke the all time may lowest high.

Yeah hit my high temp at 6am and was on a downward fall the entire day hitting my lowest at 4pm at 48 degrees. Crazy to COOL during the day in May. That's what makes this one a bit different.

Quite the chilly day today. Wedge kicked in after this morning and did some work. Felt like it was in the low 50s when I walked late this afternoon.
Bottomed out at 36.0, too close for comfort and I'll say this one more time..... maybe this is the last morning this cold

38 rn at RDU while mid 40s at clt and gso. And y’all say RDU is bad because uhi ! Nah that place is radiates pretty god dang good , too dang good! I’m pretty impressed 2 back to back mays with cold highs and lows. We due warmth now .
Also what UHI? Temp at RDU and dew are the exact same right now .

72/41 tomorrow on TWC. Wtf man I’ve been really patient this spring but it’s starting to aggravate me now too.
Yeah, 36 at Sanford and 34 at Roxboro this morning (IN MAY!!). Anybody see any frost?
Got down to 39 at the house. On May 13. Nice!

No frost that I see , maybe in roxboro but the dews are pretty high so perhaps not .
Got down to 42, this sucks and I bet the pool temps are gonna be in the upper 50s now

Only down to about 40 F IMBY; there were some reports of snow in the northern mountain high country yesterday morning.
Upper 30s low 40s I'm good with but flirting with frost this late is just aggravating. Cover garden, don't cover, if you do you better be available to remove the cover as soon as sun comes up, if you don't and temp drops more than expected start over....its middle May, garden should be able to fully thrive without that headache now.
I didn't see any either but I'm sure any area that got down to 35 or cooler had a few patches here and there, nothing crop damaging though

Only got down to 44.6 at the weather station at work in Moncure but we are moderated by a 72 degree Jordan Lake a few hundred feet away
39.2 was low at my house, but my weather station is up high near the edge of my roof...I'm sure it was a couple of degrees colder at the surface.
Forecast low of 42 for the next 2 nights, guarantee you I hit upper 30s each and if so, that will be 3 nights in a row in mid May of 30s. Dang! Lol
Yeah tonight has a good chance to be 37-42 tomorrow night isn't looking as cool imo

RDU hit 37 for a low last night, ANNIHILATING the old record of 40! Tomorrow morning’s record low is 39, so we’ve got another chance to, as well! We also broke the record low max temp yesterday.

RDU reached 38 degrees on June 8, 1977. But the majority of record lows from here until the end of the month are in the 40s, and the latest RDU recorded a sub freezing low was May 10, 1977. No record low from here on out is below 35.
