Yep old bed sheets weren’t the best idea but she works all the time and didn’t have much time to think about it
I'm not sure that my Crepe myrtles or my Chaste trees are coming back they haven't started budding since the last freeze. The centipede grass in my front yard is still brown too. Certainly less than ideal

I don’t know if someone else has mentioned it, but that Greenland Block has got to be breaking some kind of record for the month of May. 1077-1080Mb High Pressure was recorded over the last week with a 970 Mb low creating a pressure differential of 110Mbs between Greenland and Northern Scandinavia. This freak of nature has essentially been directing an extreme winter-like synoptic pattern over the Northern Hemisphere, digging arctic troughs all the way into Northwest Africa and drifting the entire Arctic Ice Pack around Greenland and toward the North Sea.

Meanwhile in South Florida, the cold intrusions have pretty much halted, and were starting may with Above Average, possibly record-breaking, Temperatures cause the very warm Atlantic Waters stretch for hundreds of miles. We might break or tie every record high minimum over the next five days. Get ready folks. That stretched out arctic air is likely to be exhausted, and then pattern will flip to swamp ass real fast.

Thing is, that's going to happen no matter what, and probably last well into Sept. I don't need frost at this point, but I'll take the comfortable 70s highs and 40/50s lows as long as I can. Unbearable season is coming and won't be denied.

Enjoy it. I'm actually very happy there's been a delay in the hot weather, especially after the record-breaking heat and rainfall in 2020. I know it's over for Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, because the 7 day forecast shows record-breaking overnight high-low temperatures. I give you guys in SC another 3 weeks before you have to worry about hot seat belt buckles causing you 3rd degree burns.

Anyway, my intent was to point out that Greenland Block that's been displacing all the arctic air into Western Europe and the Eastern CONUS, because it was a very persistent feature that was present in the fall of 2020. Desert areas in Saharan Africa experienced numerous record-breaking rainfall, and moisture has been streaming into Morocco, Algeria, Mali, etc., and Saharan Dust is more frequently shunted northward in Europe.

Your Crepe Myrtle still don't have any leaves?

They did before both freezes nothing has popped out since the last one. This was my concern that multiple green ups would cause issues. I think they will be ok but I'm getting concerned
Mine seem to be doing fine. But they're well-established. I wonder if that has anything to do with it? We're pretty close to each other, but I think you might have been lower than me by a degree or so on both of those nights.

Yeah probably has a lot to do with age and maybe height.
