best I can tell none of the models picked up on this batch of rain that's coming through right now. It's really light nd it looks like more is aimed at us. This is a really bad time to be without the KFCX Radar.

Looks like RDU is down to 32 now. As I’m a good 10-15 miles WNW of RDU, I’d think I may be at or below freezing, too. I’ll have to check outside later and see if anything is freezing up.

Dont know if you saw but the dew point is down to 28 at the NCSU obs station in Bahama. Personally, I’m at 30.7/30. If those dew points filter down, we’re in trouble.

I’m really starting to wonder if the CLT metro doesn’t get a suprise event out of this. I’m down to 34 here with a dewpoint of 31... NE wind at 11mph so the dewpoint could still drop some more before steady precip moves in

I think the red from Roxboro east is warning criteria (.25), which lines up with the current warnings.

Honestly, it looks a little low to me along 85/40 counties and across where Metwann is, but we'll see what happens.

I brought the Florida heat back with me, I guess. I do live in a relatively low elevation area of Durham (250ish ft IIRC), so maybe that makes a difference in these marginal situations.

The HRRR is really late with the onset of steady precip here (like 4am) but the GSP radar suggests the rain is on our doorstep now.
