July Surprise!

@SD What is it with your area and OFB's?
Someone has to pay for others successes

Seriously though this collision could pay out well. I think mby sits right in between the daily coastal plain convection and the piedmont trough. It's not a bad place to be when the collisions are working in your favor (see the 4 inches of rain in south wake yesterday)

This storm is even more impressive than the one I got yesterday. Heavy rain, and lots of loud thunder and lightning. Biggest storm of the year so far.

Our chance is done for today too. GSP already backing off on coverage and amounts of rainfall tomorrow through the weekend. Sat and maybe Sunday could be completely dry over much of NC and SC.

Only a tropical system can break this horrible drought we are in...... oh wait!
I picked up 4.13” at the house today! Winning
Last whole day in SC! Ended with a bang

3rd longest streak of 90s in history at rdu
Seriously !? I think I checked last week and it hadn’t cracked top 10 . It’s at 20 days now . Record is kinda a low hanging fruit I feel though at only 24, think Atlanta and Charlotte have had longer streaks than that despite their higher elevations and lower max avg.

Even Greensboro has seen 24 days straight ! Interesting , Charlottes record is 33 and Fayetteville only 30. Has to be the fact that Charlotte tends to be drier on average in summer and has potential to be far drier even.

Nam still painting some fairly impressive severe weather threat Friday with supercells and some sort of QLCS as profiles turn unidirectional through the day

Oh no surprise there..

I think the record for 90s streak in CLT was 1993!? Keep seeing B - Rad on the Facebook

I’m driving tomorrow night from GSP to DBQ, how we looking?

Lots of clouds across the Charlotte metro this morning. Could today be the end of the streak?
