This is totally based off the iPhone forecast lmao but it appears we get into a wetter period after the week of 88-90 weather?

Yep it looks like more normal temps and rain in the 6-10 day or so. I wish the cmc was right with the influx of tropical moisture next weekend would help the drought areas

Maybe we can end up with some old fashioned May-hem towards the end of the month; would be a perfect bookend to the beginning, if so ...

At the rate the cycle is going yes in 2046. I wouldn't be blown away to see a severe weather episode right before memorial day weekend
So in my lifetime your saying there's a chance.... great I'll be sure to tell my kids to put me in the rest home on a hill so I can sled one last time.
At least that map shows some excitement and we won't be baking..... silver lining

FWIW ... NAO and PNA doing a sweet thing; and the WPO being that far down (though not a direct "impacter" on the SE) ... all look nice; too bad it ain't January, but take what you can get!

MJO doesn't look too bad for this time of year (Ph 3 and 4), either ...

PS - The Weeklies are not in agreement (in the interest of full disclosure) ...

Looks like the gfs has joined the cmc with the idea of drawing in some deeper tropical moisture ahead of the day 7 front while not a drought buster there may be some beneficial rain in parts of Fl/Ga

SD - Let's just hope it's the right parts, i.e., those that missed out on the last 2 rounds!

It seems as if I read a few years ago that -NAOs in summer tend to connect to hotter weather in the SE. I may be wrong about that, but perhaps one of you more knowledgeable guys can share. Of course not quite summer yet. I plan to be camping at end of May ... sounds like great camping weather with cooler temps!

Storm, How do you see this impacting our vacations next week? Looks like PCB may have some cloudy, wet, cool days, which is not what we need with 9 of us in a four bedroom condo. We will have from 4 years to 78 years on the trip and too much family bonding time indoors may not make for the perfect vacation. Where will you be for vacation?

Where are you headed exactly?
