SE Alabama and the FL panhandle have a bit of an ominous, boom-boom look at present ...

stating the obvious, but it's all there is to converse about ...

Pound town I've got a storm that popped right over the house and it's going to town. Plenty still back in Mississippi. I'll clear 2 inches easy

Just an observation, but I've liked this spring. Don't remember on I've like this well in a long time. Breezy, not to hot but only occasionally, and some cool days and nights. Nice rain. And no bugs. After two years on the tundra around here, the mozzies have been absent for the most part. I wonder if the nice cold snap in March after the hot winter did them in? Maybe they were right at the entrances to the holes, or caves or leaf pits, or where ever the hell they lie in wait, and just as they were about to bring moisquitopoxyclipse..whammo, frozen in their tracks! I like to think so :) T

Unbelievably, I only received .18 in Hoover AL. There seems to be a rain shield over southern Jefferson County. You can see it on the drought monitor. Gonna have another massive water bill. Not letting my grass and roses die.

Locations to the north, south and east of the 285 perimeter (around Atlanta) got some good rain yesterday. Areas inside the parameter (especially south of the 85/75 line) barely got a sprinkle. We need rain so badly right now.

80% and 70% for Larry (GaWx) and I respectively, tomorrow - let's (please, all) hope so because after that ... dry, dry, dry (again) ...

Unfortunately, it looks like Phil got much less than he needs. No rain is progged there for another 8 days per the gfs. He needs a lot of help from Ma Nature.

I finally lucked out with 1.5"-2", heaviest in one day since Feb.

Little fell here today, and we won't see anymore here until next weekend at the earliest. We have highs of upper 80s and ow 90s here this week with full sun. Going to be a long week, and we can only hope not a taste of this summer. If it's hot and dry now, maybe we won't have it later on.
