My mom had been at the hospital for other reasons and she was gonna get tested just in case and her doctor told her she’d know if she had it before she got the test back.Dayum, got my daughters back last week in 2 days. Through LabCorp.
Exactly. Come on guys, this is why it keeps getting locked. If you want to discuss the politics of covid, then wait for the politics thread to unlock, shouldn't be long now.
Still mulling over how to make that thread workExactly. Come on guys, this is why it keeps getting locked. If you want to discuss the politics of covid, then wait for the politics thread to unlock, shouldn't be long now.

Make sure you deduct the ones that died in a car crash that were positive for COVID and then counted in COVID death column. The seatbelt comparison is flawed. The state should not be allowed to mandate that you wear a seatbelt, I think that is unconstitutional. I choose to wear one because they actually make sense and may save my life (and may already have a few times). Wearing a mask when I am not sick will not safe my life or anyone else’s life. I don’t wear a seatbelt because the state tells me to, I wear it because of the protection for my life. Nobody wears a seatbelt so that their body avoids killing someone in a car accident. Our freedoms have been eroded little by little until now we are at full gestapo activity. The time for words is quickly coming to an end.38k deaths in car crashes in 2019 138k from covid numbers are fun
So right! I hate Atlanta. So dumb
He is walking right into the trap she laid for him.So right! I hate Atlanta.
Mask wearing has always been political. You can’t lie to the public and then expect them to believe a few months later. You are a fool to believe them. This is stupid. Implement a ban and start suing cities because of it. Georgia's going to look like a disgrace for handling the virus now that he's making it even more political.
I will say riding the bike with no helmet in Florida is fun and freaks me out at the same time.Make sure you deduct the ones that died in a car crash that were positive for COVID and then counted in COVID death column. Are you going to make the same argument for vaccines? My body, my choice! Why on earth is anyone still arguing against masks in public? It's not a permanent thing, only temporary in order to control the spread of disease. There is literally no medical/scientific body that suggests NOT wearing masks. Only right wing politicians for some reason. If you are a patriotic American why in the world would you want to help spread the disease and put pressure on hospitals by exceeding their capacities? Seems antisocial behavior to me. Pure lack of empathy and concern for the society you live in.
I would definitely wear a helmet while riding a motorcycle but will defend your right to not wear one!I will say riding the bike with no helmet in Florida is fun and freaks me out at the same time.
Yeah, that's what I'm trying to figure out. I have heard no compelling reasons why TEMPORARILY having to wear a mask is a bad thing. You can throw up some mess about taking freedom away or whatever, but that's silly, unless something like this were to become permanent. Humans are not designed to live their lives behind a mask. But that's neither here nor there right now. We're talking about a temporary protocol that just makes good sense. Why on earth is anyone still arguing against masks in public? You're not asking me, but I don't favor mandatory vaccinations at this time. I might could be convinced otherwise down the road. But right now, that feels like an overreach. Are you going to make the same argument for vaccines? My body, my choice!
If we mandate mask shouldn’t we open everything up? I don’t understand the whole mandating masks along with closing things down.Yeah, that's what I'm trying to figure out. I agree you can’t force people to get a vaccine. I don’t even get the flu shot. You're not asking me, but I don't favor mandatory vaccinations at this time. I might could be convinced otherwise down the road. But right now, that feels like an overreach.
Everything is kind of broad. I'm in favor of opening up as much as is possible. But things like gyms and restaurants might be difficult, as you can't wear masks while eating and working out. Those are just two examples I can think of off the top of my head.If we mandate mask shouldn’t we open everything up? I don’t understand the whole mandating masks along with closing things down.
Yea eating with a mask on is hard but I have seen guys with mask on working out.Everything is kind of broad. I'm in favor of opening up as much as is possible. That seems like it would be hard.Yea eating with a mask on is hard but I have seen guys with mask on working out.
I've seen them at the gym but they definitely don't have their sweat on.Yea eating with a mask on is hard but I have seen guys with mask on working out.

Yes but if you're a carrier or sick, keep your body away from everyone else's. We don't want it.Are you going to make the same argument for vaccines? My body, my choice!

Wow, I can't even imagine what that would look like. Lot's of elderly folks would risk dying and would not leave their homes. On a weather/covid related note, I can't even begin to fathom the kind of logistical and/or humanitarian nightmare a large-scale hurricane evacuation this season would pose during the middle of a pandemic where people are encouraged to stay at home.
