Severe Severe Weather Threat April 2-3

This has sped up by about 5 hours now.

What time is it looking like for the 75 corridor on the south side?

I'm trying to convince my wife that we need to go to her parents house where they have a basement vs staying in our modular home. She's being pig headed as always and telling me that I need to get over it. I just need to know what time to toss her in the car and go before this thing lights off.

Looking at the HRRR, it is showing that 10 a.m., but I wouldn't expect there to be tornadoes if it came that soon, just a strong wind threat.

To each his/her own....I like to watch the power of mother nature. The greatest days in weather are days like today here in AL....absolutely beautiful. The next greatest are days where mother nature puts on a show (without injury or destruction).
Whistlin' "Dixie" ;)

I don't know if I'd take the HRRR at face value, it looks like the northern section of the squall line is weakening and losing steam

The LLJ seems to be lagging behind the line . Maybe someone with better insight can chime in but it seems with the LLJ lagging behind the severe threat will be less further east over the next 4-6 hours

I really think the severe weather risk has gone down in north al and north ga. System is just moving in too quickly and there is too much rain out ahead of it. I think SE Al and SW Ga have a decent shot at seeing some good storms though.

Thank you. I hope that is the case, I'm not at a level where I can look at cape and such and know what I am looking at, so I really appreciate people like yourself who are willing to answer my dumb questions.

Okay, now that I got a good look at the NAM, it does weaken but there still ends up being severe at the same times. It wants to suggest that there are two severe thunderstorm lines tomorrow, one that organizes in Georgia.
