And that's what makes your prediction more accurate. You basically know what's going to happen from predicting how they're going to change - if that makes since. Last week I mentioned that there would be snow (before any model showed it) across places like Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee. Even though, I was off a bit on the placement.

You also said there would be historic amounts...

You weren’t just a little off! You mentioned there would be historic amounts of snow...SMH!

Snap out of it, goober! Cedric said it was going to rain so that means it’s going to rain
Have you seen the new add with CJ touted as Chief Met, and “ your new weather authority “!??
It’s cringe worthy! They didn’t even let him get his desk cleaned out!??
Plus, I only listen to Nicole Papay

I'd say that snow yesterday, even if it was more run of the mill, ended up being pretty good. Nashville north got jobbed, but there was probably a little more snow than you'd think from that setup elsewhere.

Like Monteagle Mountain picked up 2 inches based off what I saw on twitter, for example.

Edit: Heck, if Huntsville, recorded more than .4", it's somehow historic since the last time they saw more was 2015.

Every time I see a post with his name in it, I just cringe, like it’s DT or JB, or the October snow index guy!
It’s a step down process! C’mon Mack. It has to rain in NY first, then DC, then Wilkes, then Charlotte, then it’s our turn for rain. Patience! Our drought is vanishing. Crappy on the bed by February 5th. Life is good!

I took my business to channel 13 when JC walked away. I can see all of Asheville’s Radar snow and Ingrid Allstaedt is a smoke show ??

Yes I did, and I obviously I was completely wrong on that part. Predictions don't always come true. If there was more moisture, colder air and if that 2nd wave developed like I mentioned, there probably would have been historical snow amounts. I tried to say the least, and a lot of members enjoyed reading my predictions/work. It's interesting to see how things play out verses predictions. Predictions can be identified as misinformation, but it shouldn't be, because it's a prediction - it could be right or wrong. The models can be misleading just as well as someone's prediction.

A lot of members enjoyed your predictions because it gave them "historic" amounts of snow

Hey @SD , are you still considering about creating that think group thread? I did read your reply back the other day of how you would want it to be. I just thought maybe you had further ideas/thoughts about it.

Been busy and haven't really discussed it with staff. I'll see if we can't get something by this time next week

Not sure how anyone can complain about how things look right now with the pattern going forward the rest of this month. A lot more positives than negatives, and that's not something we can say often here when you want winter storms. I think it's just a matter of time now for things to line up and give us some good winter weather.

I think I’ve personally entered the desperate level as far as wanting a winter storm this year. It’s only December 11th i know but I can already feel the disappointment of wrapping up another lame Winter like it’s March 20th or something. These early hitting Winters then switching to mild I think has some of us just really searching so hard for something when traditionally, it doesn’t get exciting around here til January and February.
