Misc 2019 Banter & Friendly Conservation

Wow you need to get out more lol!

I have some serious problems with you putting Bojangles into the poor category. At least most of us agree that Chick Fila is amazing.
How have you not eaten Zaxby's yet? That's like a fast food staple of the Atlanta area.

When my mom came down for Christmas, she had Zaxby's for the first time. Mind you, she's a very picky eater.

She had Waffle House once before (in Toledo) and she doesn't get the hype. She's had Chick-Fil-A a few times (once down here and twice up north) and like them well enough.

That said, she told me specifically the first place I have to take her is to Zaxby's and get her one of those salads next time she comes down, lol.

For one, there's not a lot of Zaxby's in close proximity to where I live like there are millions of McDonalds, KFCs, Chick Fil A's, etc. I already explained about Bojangles, it's only based on my first and only experience with their food. It was a sausage biscuit sandwich and it sucked, sorry. Maybe their other food items are a lot better idk, but first impressions can make or break. Plus I don't eat a lot of fast food like I used to when I was a kid. I'll eat fast food once or twice a month or every other month.

EDIT: I would be willing to give Bojangles a second chance if someone can recommend the one, single item from their menu is a sure hit when I eat it.

Their biscuits are good.

I spent 20 minutes making that list and lost it since I don't have an account (I linked it to twitter but still think I lost it), so nevermind.... I've only had Bojangles once but I thought it was good when I did, it was the chicken biscuit I had.

Chic-Fil-A and Five Guys ftw although Five Guys isn't as consistent. Steak and Shake can be very good though it also isn't as consistent. Zoe's has a big menu with some really unique (especially for fast food) and tasty international items. I also enjoy Chipotle burritos and like them more than Moe's, which is saltier. I've enjoyed the occasional Cookout burger and Hardee's Thickburger.
Has anyone had either Culver's (Butterburger) or Smashburger? I haven't but these two chains seem to be growing fast.

We have a place called Pete’s in Simpsonville. It’s like a Clock Drive In but 10x better. Chili Cheeseburger plate 1/2 1/2 is second to none. We also have Joy Of Tokyo which is fast food hibachi and that’s some good eating. Drown it in white sauce! Also becoming a big fan of Poke Bros which is a sushi bowl type of in and out restaurant. Fantastic food

Fresh biscuits? which in essence is like half their menu lol. Western Blvd Bojangles in Raleigh is the best hands down.

Zaxby's is actually originally from Atlanta, if you live anywhere near Atlanta they aren't hard to find. This is their site locations map you literally can't even see ATL.

Do you remember when the only Zaxbys in Greenville was on the Motor mile on 276? It was in that old Victorian White House. I’ve never had Zaxbys that good since

Fair enough, I went on Zaxby's website to see where the closest location is to my house and there is one about 2 miles from me. Ironically I was near a Zaxby's restaurant yesterday (Saturday) out in Camp Creek Marketplace for those who are familiar with that shopping area so I had an opportunity to try it if i wanted to, but I didn't. lol I'll eat there eventually.

The one on 401 in Garner used to be the second highest volume store of all of them. There could be 20 people ahead of you and you would still have your food in 5 minutes. It was always hot and fresh. I knew the management team there and they knew how to run a store. They are gone now but it is still very fast. I will be hitting that up on the way to church this morning, as a matter of fact! ?

Culvers opened a location a couple years ago in Newnan, while a Smashburger franchise said they plan to expand to Newnan (eventually). They're already in Stockbridge and Locust Grove.

I did have Smashburger while I was in Atlanta once and it's good. The service is fast and the good was fresh and hot. It's similar to the patties that Culver's serves. The thing I don't like about Culver's is the crinkle cut fries, and that they got rid of their fried chicken.

Tried grill marks, a local restaurant, last night, just got one of their shakes and wings, pretty decent, was the one at the mall

I can confirm Statesboro (GSU home) based on what I just read. I didn't know this before. I find it interesting that there are none up north outside of Indiana: https://www.zaxbys.com/locations/

Does @SoutheastRidge have any nearby?
Wife went to GSU, I think she was there when it opened, but heard a lot about it being the first one ever, when we finally got one up here

If you want some Italian try Roselli’s restaurant in Wilkes Co. They sale their dressing and stuff in grocery stores. Check their FB for pictures.

Luke Jackson is a real thing for the Braves right now. Pure lunacy and I love it, while it might not last you're basically drawing cards with some guys in the pen with how they're going to do.

He’s the answer right now, however it won’t be long before teams figure out they can sit on that breaking ball in the bottom of the zone and single him to death. He’s going to have to mix in the high heat a little more often. Kid has great stuff though

You must be very new to Georgia. Zaxbys is amazing. Better than Chick Fil A imo.

Very agreeable list in general but not sure why u have Dairy Queen so low. Can’t go wrong with ice cream
most of the ones on the D tier are ones I have eaten at very few times. I have had DQ once. (it was at Mount Rushmore, strangely enough). When my fam goes on a road trip, its either chickfila or zaxbys. RARELY do we go anywhere other than either of those

Never been to Zaxbys before, though Chick-fil-a is amazing. Bojangles is good and KFC is easily the worst chicken place out of the bunch but they're still decent.

As for burgers, five guys is awesome but too expensive to eat there consistently. Cookout is just as good lol, the others are okay. Though I wanna try Culver's since I heard they were good.

Zaxbys can be good, but on the other hand can be really bad.

Where Chickfila separates themselves is the consistency of service, cleanliness and taste amoung all their restaurants.

I've eaten at Five Guys once and while it was good, it wasn't nearly good enough to merit the price.
