Misc Solar Eclipse Forecast

Today just confirmed to me that I will definitely be in totality in 2024 lol I dunno if I'll still be living in dallas by then but if I'm not I'll be somewhere in the path between texas and maine lmao

Partials are alright but meh it wasn't that great
 
Totality was totally awesome! I didn't get great pix with my phone. Temp dropped from 93 to 82. Will post some pix when I get a chance.
 
Was like sitting is Seat 36C - you'll have to search everything else in the site to figure that one out, and then realize JK ... :p

Picture that my sister was able to get. Probably the best one I have of totality.

It was nice here at about 98%.. Temp from 93.3 at 1250 to 84.6 at 1442 EDT.. Definite loss of "contrast" and Depth perception.. So quiet beginning about 15 minutes prior to peak. No crickets, but "evening" birds" started calling and saw 3 deer and 2 rabbits come out of woodline... ..
 
So I actually think I had 98-99% totality, I guessed 95 at the highest but looked on some official websites that said Augusta proper was 99.6% (I do not live in Augusta proper though, if this wasn't a consolidated county I'd probably have a different town/community name as location).

Again, a little surreal. Looking at it was interesting, seeing one of our semi-feral cats look weirded out because it's a little darker during the daytime was cool to see. Didn't look to see if any evening animals came out though.
 
Animals being confused maybe in totality but nothing here. Had my dog with me and it didn't have any impact on here
