Freezing drizzle causing lots of wrecks this morning. Saw on amx Hwy 16 had to be closed.

I hit about a mile of rain coming into work around county line, just starting a few hrs ago. So far at the airport nada.

Thanks, that seems pretty consistent with nearby observations, it's nice to hear what everyone else got in their own backyards because marginal events like this often carry a huge underreporting bias.

I'll have a map on this storm later today, looks like most areas along/west of I-85 got trace-0.1" of ice, a few near the Blue Ridge escarpment saw upwards of 0.2" of ice. Apparently this winter loves to produce ice storms at freewill in the western piedmont, this is at least the 4th such minor-moderate ice event of the season after having 2 in November and another earlier this month.
