No beef herds have been at the lowest level .The herds were reduced under Biden.Family farms lost due to regulation(cow farts) huge inheritance tax.Drought has also affected the number.There are solar farm on farmland generational farmers were forced off

Or it could be de-regumation allowed only a handful of processing plants control the supply. It could be de-regulation allowed the ranchers to see zero profit increase while those same processors saw profits increase 1000%?
lets be 100% honest here. lowes foods + publix are a complete rip off on items like this anyway
better deals have always been found at stores like food lion, which had it for 3.99 a lb just last week. sure the meat quality may not be as good or it last as long, but in the end, i'd rather just freeze the meat right away and deal with a bit more shrinkage than pay 8, 9, 10 a lb +.
edit: that's not to say i wont buy a nicer pack for special dishes or occasions.. but average hamburgers on a grill, sloppy joe, spaghetti, hamburger helper, etc... damn right i'll buy the cheaper 73-80% range.. which even 73% is over priced at publix and lowes
with that said, we will see what happens next month. there should be more supply as we head through june. if there is not a drop, even though there's to be a surplus, i will be annoyed. im sure we can send our excess to other countries and gouge the us citizen, as usual though
