Misc This Means WAR

Think this is apparently the second time resuming attacks has been walked back on:

TRUMP ON TRUTH SOCIAL: INSTRUCTED DEFENSE SECRETARY HEGSETH, JOINT CHIEFS CHAIRMAN GEN. CAINE & US MILITARY TO STAND DOWN BUT BE PREPARED FOR FULL-SCALE ASSAULT ON IRAN AT A MOMENT'S NOTICE IF ACCEPTABLE DEAL IS NOT REACHED

I'm really not seeing it on the idea that there is some ulterior motive here. Either go through with what you had planned or don't already. The in between is just nonsensical stuff and doesn't look as if you're cooking up something that is mad genius or w/e at all.

I also see @weather nerd beat me to it.

I'll also note that while oil stocks initially got whacked, they're not buying it. But tbh (while I initially typed out bombing resuming soon), I'm close to 50/50 between complete act or bombing resumes soon and the last month+ will have been a waste.
 
lets put it this way; this is the situation that's actually happening. they are not worried about trump and his empty threats. this entire charade is a massive f' up all around.

The DT post was at 3:01PM. Within 60 seconds, crude oil futures plunged $2! That’s within one minute, folks! The image below shows the selling as a long red bar at 15:01 hours:

The more TACOs he makes in this, the less that oil will react until they hear the magic phrase The Strait is reopened. The oil supply shock will keep oil prices from going down too much from his TACOs until the blockade is lifted.

In addition, DT appears to have his sight set on a new war (Cuba??) and doesn’t want two ongoing. Related to that, he’s likely concerned about what had already been depleted as regards having enough for future wars. I’m not in favor of more wars, but this may be how DT is thinking.

It's time to admit that Iran has won this. This will end with the strait staying closed long term, and Iran getting a nuke before too long. The prepper websites are going to end up being right. By the fall we will be wishing for $4 gas, IF you can even find it. Food shortages will become very common too. Be ready everyone.

Trump thinks he can bully everyone because he can bully cowardly republicans who need his endorsement. Someone i am really disappointed in is Ron DeSantis. I dont like Massey but he went to Iowa in the bitter cold and was 1 of a very few elected reps who campaigned with DeSantis. How does DeSantis repay him? By not lifting a hand of support.

Trump is finding out that dems arent bullied by him, the EU isnt bullied by him, and Iran is bullying Trump.

It’s light years better than the disastrous AmericanWx political threads and even that’s putting it mildly! You were there numerous times (as CR lol) and thus know what I’m talking about. This is paradise in comparison and actually has some good discussions of very differing views at times. Discussions there were mainly nonexistent. It was 95% bullying, insulting, cussing, and other nonsense. If someone had an opinion in the minority, that person was in for it. It was totally dysfunctional!

All my local stores are already running out of motor oil. It's that thicker stuff that DOES come from the middle east.

Check your local Walmart site. I bet the affordable type is already gone or low stock.

Spent 20 years fighting your wars. My dad did before me, my grandfather before that and my oldest son has one more year before he says enough. You don't have a friggin clue what I have been through or my family has been through and while I respect everyone and their opinions I am done with the nonsense of picking sides in what is nothing but a cesspool of corruption. You see what you want to see and hate what you are told to hate. That path leads to nowhereville and I am thrilled to be done with it
