Fauxnews has brainwashed the right into a gullible crowd. Its very sad to see the some people views in here when I enjoyed some if their weather related posts.
Now I cant see through their rhetoric and hardly come to the site anymore.
Isolationism isn't the answer, but the right seem to think were doing better ever though the middle class is gasping for air at this point.
Its working class vs the rich & dummies the rich have brainwashed into voting to costing themselves more money.
No offense to anyone here but I highly doubt any of us will be 1%ers. WTF have tariffs accomplished??? WTF has this "special military operation" accomplished????????

If that Palestinian man picked up a gun and killed the settlers I'm sure many here would call him a "terrorist" and they'd be wrong.

There's a reason the world view is changing against Isreal and it IS NOT anti-semitism it is reaction to Isreali actions.

It can be hard to know what "the right decision " is in situations like this. If intelligence shows there is a threat and you don't do anything then you could have a disaster you might could have prevented. People always look back and say, "why didn't somebody stop Hitler, Stalin, Bin Laden, etc?"

If you act and "nothing happens" people say it was a waste or unnecessary. How do we know Iran wouldn't already have nukes if we hadn't been keeping an eye on them? Maybe the intelligence was on point and allowed us to step in in the nick of time. Maybe it was bad and we're doing something terrible. I think it's a crazy world with a lot of bad people out there and you have to make decisions with the information you have. I'm glad I not the one to have to make these kind if decisions on that kind of scale.

Who knows who you can really trust out there? The internet doesn't help. All things considered, I don't think us weather needs know more than the people in the trenches. It's easy for us to just call a figure we don't like "stupid, a moron, or idiot " and announce we have it all figured out and act like the smartest guy in the room but we really don't know very much at all.

The best way to gauge it is anything that's based on emotionalism is usually not correct. And Society at large is having a problem differentiating truth from not truth because of so many avenues of receiving information. The media's goal is to get us emotionally tied to what they say so we keep watching.. the toothpaste is out of the tube. I don't see how we ever go back to normal. Just like the poster above saying that he doesn't see posters the same way now that he knows their political leanings is just wrong. It's always one certain political side that's not very open-minded when it comes to political thought and opinions and it's sad. It's like they can't function unless they're in a group of like-minded people which is not even the real world.

Obama didn’t pay Iran but rather the $ they got were from unfreezing Iranian assets as part of the deal made:

They didn't have the means or material until Obama 's deal. We had military come into our school when I was in 1st grade. They taught us how to find bomb shelters, how to use a Geiger counter to check food for radiation and other survival skills after being nuked. I at 5was flabbergasted that they told us to duck under our desk if we could leave for a bomb shelter. I figured if food that was not in a shelter was radioactive, our bodies would not be very protected from it under my desk. The real kicker was they had us do a bomb drill where all the kids left school at once and walked home. A lot of us lived more than 5 miles from the school. Our moms met us in a field halfway. All I thought about on that walk was why they didn't take us to bombe shelters{there weren't enough} and every WWII movie where airplanes sprayed bullets taking out a large crowd. Back then there were a lot of war movies about WWII. Russia caused the Cuban Missile Crisis. Russia has been getting help from Iran, I do not see them having any problem sharing with Iran in secret. There were Iranians at my University in the early 70s.I wonder how many of them and their families were slaughtered among the 40,000 or more slaughtered. How is doing nothing while masses are slaughtered any different then standing by while people are being gassed in ovens. We didn't step up when Hitler started because it didn't affect us until it did. We will never know how many lives would have been saved if we had stepped in earlier before he had gained so much territory and supplies from countries he had taken. Does it really matter if they were weeks away or 1 year away. If we wait until they have and use it, it will be too late. They have told us over and over that is what they will do. I work with a woman whose brother was one of the Hostages from the Embassy when Carter was president. The people that held them were evil and one of the hostage takers later became Iran's leader. With Russia's help, they have a very good chance of finishing the bombs. They have missiles that can go twice as far as they had claimed they had. I can not think of one occasion that the Iranian regime did what they agreed to .They have said over and over they want us dead. They had no problem wiping out 30,000 of Iranian civilians raping female children first so they wouldn't go to heaven. What kind of human thinks raping and murdering a child would stop the child from going to heaven, but not them who rape and murder

What? Their military is wiped out, most of their tactical leaders are dead, and the US has just shown they can now force Iran into a box by blockading the Strait.

I understand that many may not like the war or the result, but going full bore into illogical fallacies just make individuals themselves look silly.

If all that is true why are we negotiating and not dictating. So far Iran has given up nothing. The Strait was open before the war.

It appears we’d be sort of back to the Obama deal on nuclear and be back to an open Strait like before. Also, the regime's unfortunately still intact although the Ayatollah and many others including military leaders were killed. The good news, regardless, is that we did destroy a good number of ships. missiles, drones, and military facilities. But was that worth many Iranian school kids and other folks being killed/injured including 13 of the US military, the several months of higher gas prices and many billions we spent on the war? Opinions?

It was open, that was true, and like all the fear mongering the past few weeks they closed it all well.

Now just a few days after a blockade they quickly reversed course. Why? Because the US just proved to the world that now we control the Strait and we could wipe out their economy in a matter of weeks.

It's funny how only those who were posting how Iran controlled things just a few short days ago can't see that.

BTW, enforcing a blockade is pretty much dictating.
