Sadly and historically speaking this is what we do. We did it after the first gulf War. We've done it to the Kurt's, shiit'e, the afghans, the Iranians. We've encouraged the populations to rise up and then we watched them die.

We will all be amazed as soon as we quit all the murderers will come out of hiding and nothing will change.
Maybe the 90 million people need to rise up and fight. Protesting the regime is one thing, picking up arms and lying down their lives to gain control of their country is another. This is the problem always, they always won't us to do it all. Instead of running to our country, instead of Protesting in the streets, instead of begging us to do it all, actually arm yourself, stand up and fight for your country. That's what millions did for this country, freedom isn't free, but it should come at the cost of those within that country not ours.
No, I understand that, I'm just curious on your position because it looks to me the US has pretty much sent the Iranian military to the scrap heap. The only other option, because I don't see those 90 million people rising up, is a full scale ground invasion.

Exactly. The amount of people talking out of their mouth and backside astounds me. I understand if you are against the war, feel that Trump missed steps, ect. Those are valid concerns, but this wanting to have a foot in both end zones just cannot work.

They did rise up in January. 50k of them were killed for it. It's easy to say rise up and take up arms when you're over here and not there in it. It sounds easy but is probably harder than you think.

Fight with what? They rose up before and were slaughtered. I am surprised with Mossad having so many agents in Iran that they werent able to smuggle arms in for the protestors.

And for the 10 millionth time if Iran is asking for a ceasefire why in the heck are we negotiating? This is so easy. Give them our terms of surrender and when each term is satisfied, then end the bombing. Trump is so dumb. Also, Iran hasnt been bombed back to the stone ages. I see every night bombings in Tehran and all the lights are on.
What an idiot! He starts a war, too chicken to finish what he started, and wants others to clean up the clusterf*ck he created

If only Hitler had written an open letter to the American people in 1941. Was the Iran Presidents open letter written in the blood of 40,000 murdered protestors, Jews butchered Oct 07, American soldiers maimed and killed? He can take that letter and shove it up his backside.
This is why I stay out of this thread.
Of course it's difficult, many of our ancestors who died fighting for this country's freedom would agree 100%. That's why I said freedom isn't free, no one ever said it was easy. That's a bad statement on your part. But if a country truly wants to be free, they have to rise up in numbers and fight. Especially once a power house world leader in military fire power has decimated that country's military infrastructure

Where are they gonna get the guns from? You want them to carry rocks to a gun fight. You want them to join the men down the street when it may cost them and their wives and kids their lives.This is why I stay out of this thread.
I agree with you on principle but the enormity of what you ask them to do is beyond anything you me or any of us very lucky people living outside of those conditions can truly grasp IMO
No one is asking them to do anything, but the choice is entirely binary. That is the cold, hard logic.
They will likely not get a better chance than this.

They had a better chance in January when they had an extra 50k supporters.
I can't agree with that. If 50k of your people dying and the government getting pulverized can't spark a revolution, nothing can.

Of course it is, but lets think about this logically, Israel and the US control the skies over Iran. Would it be that hard to drop weapons? To coordinate resistance? I mean, Israel is apparently a global mastermind with agents working all in Iran. It would certainly be in their best interest to fan the flames of a rebellion. Where are the flames?

Well that does make sense to have set a foundation to help a resistance once the bombs fell. It's clear at this point that was not the strategy that Isreal and the US took.
Or the more likely answer, that resistance was overstated or misread from the onset.
Or it was a lie we were told and was never intended to occur.
