Misc This Means WAR

I’m going to take this tweet like I take many tweets with a huge grain because I now know that “ADAM” has been concentrating on sending tweets that are very strongly anti-Israel. Plus he sent that tweet with fake anti-Semitic incidents without context (i.e. with no mention that there’s plenty of real antisemitism) that was posted here. And they’re quoting Joe Kent, who’s also anti-Israel imho (says Israel started Bush’s Iraq War lmao) and who seems to be a far right winger who’s associated himself with white nationalists.

So, these sources aren’t just anti-Bibi coalition like me, they both seem to be fully anti-Israel. So, they love spreading anything that’s anti-Israel. I do suspect that Bibi likely convinced Trump to enter the war with Israel partially because Bibi has corruption charges to deal with and wants to delay having to deal with them. But Trump ultimately on his own decided to enter. Nobody forced him.

Did he really say Israel started the Iraq War? LOL 🤣

Regardless of that, I feel too many commentators make opinions which vastly oversimplify Middle East dynamics. Superpowers don’t get dragged into wars they didn’t want at the time. I think most that argue otherwise are revisionist and just making excuses to justify engaging in a conflict that didn’t have the intended results or had too high a cost. (Vietnam and Iraq prime examples)

Israel is no boy scout, but they aren’t some mad taskmaster pulling the strings of every Middle East war like some are stating. Sure they wanted this one, but so did a lot of our Middle East allies. (looking at you Saudi Arabia) Probably because they were the most under threat from missile attacks. But again—could be another oversimplification.

Whether that justifies starting the Iran conflict is a different conversation. But as I said earlier, some of this stuff ain’t cut and dried. Middle East is complicated.
