I really don't see a lot of reason to get super optimistic right now about rain. Its probably going to take a Caribbean tropical system getting into the central gulf coast to bring us anything substantial. Maybe we get lucky and catch a cutoff with the big + heights over Canada but more often than not that hasn't worked the last few years. Good news is by mid November we should see rain chances start to really pick back up

That storm goes east on the 18z GFS and the hottest weather of the entire summer shows up at the end of the run. Up to 105 in parts of GA and AL. It is also extremely dry for almost all of the southeast. Less than .10 for MANY of us.

Hopefully something tropical will bring us in North Carolina some rain during this period. Otherwise, things might start getting interesting as far as drought conditions .

My 2001 and 2016 analogs are unfortunately looking good now.

It looks like that line you mentioned will weaken before it gets to the KRDU area so we will miss out on any relief from the abnormally dry conditions according to the KRDU discussion. At least I won't have to worry about cutting grass for a while.
