I am curious to see what everyone else has experienced here. There has been quite a bit of talk recently about droughts and it seems the rain totals have been vastly different throughout the region, especially this year. I went to KY back in Nov and I was absolutely shocked at how dry areas in E TN and KY were, and it did not match with my experience at all.
Yesterday evening I picked up an additional half inch plus to bring my yearly total to 60.39 in for 2021. This marks the fourth consecutive year I've had 60 plus inches of rain.
2021 60+
2020 63+
2019 93+
2018 73+
That brings my 4 year total to 290 inches and some change, which just seems outrageous to me. I remember The Walhalla Fish Hatchery setting the SC state record in 2019 with 123 inches. I bet you there are isolated spots that have seen over 400 in over the past 4 years. What have you all seen?
