I am curious to see what everyone else has experienced here. There has been quite a bit of talk recently about droughts and it seems the rain totals have been vastly different throughout the region, especially this year. I went to KY back in Nov and I was absolutely shocked at how dry areas in E TN and KY were, and it did not match with my experience at all.

Yesterday evening I picked up an additional half inch plus to bring my yearly total to 60.39 in for 2021. This marks the fourth consecutive year I've had 60 plus inches of rain.

2021 60+
2020 63+
2019 93+
2018 73+

That brings my 4 year total to 290 inches and some change, which just seems outrageous to me. I remember The Walhalla Fish Hatchery setting the SC state record in 2019 with 123 inches. I bet you there are isolated spots that have seen over 400 in over the past 4 years. What have you all seen?

2021 51 only 9 since early August
2020 81
Will pull earlier years when I get home

We have been very wet the past few years in North Central Alabama. Over 70” in 2020 and almost 83” in 2021. I know some of you guys are dry in North Carolina but we are in a swamp here.

Adding some context to the above for PGV, I was at 55.18” 1/1/2021 to 8/1/2021, between 9/1/2021 to 12/1/2021 only received 6.64”

It's hard to believe there is drought in the region.

I'm approaching 5 in for the month and 15 for the year to continue my very wet pattern into year 5. I'm ready for some drier weather.

Only 9 here for the year so far and less than 1.5 last month. We could use more around here before we hit spring green up

Interesting how the climate varies, while many areas are experiencing drought, some severe, we continue to be pounded by well above average rain totals. We received 3” this week, over 20” so far this year and a incredible near 150” since 1/1/20. I had a meeting with a Mens group this morning at a local fast food restaurant. About 20% of the dining area was closed because of water seeping up through the floor from the saturated soil conditions. Birmingham experienced another flash flood event this week where one person drown. These type events have become common.

Only have a couple months of data as I got a new Tempest late January. It has been very wet here in recent years. Previously had an accurite and remember many wet months but do not have the data anymore.
March 2022 - so far 3.98”
February 2022- 8.08

10.10 here with 2.19 last month and 2.7 so far this month. Seems plenty wet for now but I know it change quick with weather like today and once things start greening up
