...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of northern Wake,
northeastern Chatham, southern Durham and southwestern Franklin
Counties through 1000 PM EDT...
At 914 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles south of Creedmoor to near RDU
International to near Carrboro. Movement was southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Wake Forest, RDU International, Morrisville,
Rolesville, Youngsville, Falls Lake State Rec Area and William B
Umstead State Park.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
