gonna be honest. did not expect to be the northernmost member. i know tarheel1 is in iowa but generally his threats will be divorced from ours. come on folks. it is a shorter distance from raleigh to richmond than raleigh to charlotte. and in 10 years a much shorter train ride too!

out of principal, i believe richmond is the south by virtue of being the former capital of the confederacy

what is my north vs south line? personally i think it's fredricksburg.

I love Richmond and have run numerous races up there over the years. (short drive for me). The crowd support for each race was vibrant, far better than any other location I've ran, tons of history in the city and great food too.

monument avenue 10k? lovely race

I've heard that about Delaware before
Southern Coastal Delaware definitely shares more rooting interests with us compared to the mid-atlantic/Northeast for winter weather, imo. They're usually screwed with Nor-easters, but win with Southern sliders, generally speaking.

Did it last year, great race!
i lived on monument ave before i bought my house in the northern part of the city

i did not know about the race. i had been out drinking the night before. i was so confused when i woke up bleary eyed at 8:15 to cheering outside my window!

That's funny, yeah there can be big crowds at their races. Rude awakening
