.18 so far heading towards the biggest event in months if we aren't careful
Yea i may be able to actually take a measurement this weekend. Chilly outside today. Hoping the coastal convection you alluded to yesterday stays suppressed.

Future radar drops hammer here between 130-4pm. We shall see.

Been a great soaker over this way. No complaints from me. Wasnt expecting much so its a win. Been a rough day in Raleigh today. More ways than one. ( sidenote Wfu has a doable schedule to get to acc champ with 1 loss). They best enjoy their coach/ he will get snagged before much longer keeps this up.

Guess we have 2 chances to do something with this event. Blossoming echoes from CAE to MYR should bring something into the area overnight into the wee hours. Seems like we get a line or 2 tomorrow but probably going to be a broken line. Probably going to end up with a few winners near or over 1 inch but some folks may only add a couple hundredths

Tomorrow is interesting and the ILM disco highlights the risks.

The concern for severe weather moreso tornadoes remains in place due
to several factors. First the slow moving nature of the warm front
has allowed cells to ingest the favorable dynamics citing the
rotating cells offshore today. Unfortunately the threat will
continue basically through most of the day Sunday. In fact the
Significant Tornado Parameter has high numbers for this time
tomorrow across Cape Fear and the timing of day if favorable as is
the banding feature of the precipitation from high resolution
guidance.

60/53 here - feels good outside, more like fall. Concerned about Asheville and Old Fort/Marion down to lake lure again, looking like a big rain event there.

Seems like the back edge is out of the area now - so dealing with drainage. Old Fort/Marion, Lake Lure area can't catch a break.

11.53" recorded at Rutherford County-Marchman Field Airport (KFQD) starting on 10/10 - 3AM to 7AM today

That last cell to pass Monroe was mean - deep deep thunder - shook the house good. Lets see if this holds its teeth together going eastbound.
