something has to give today between the upper low and the moisture plus with embedded mcvs offshore. Either the moisture plume and mcvs wrap NW into the state and we rain a lot or everything gets choked out or moves NE offshore and the weak backdoor front near the VA border is the focus for the rain and I punch a hole in the wall
Latest HRRrrR has the best PWATs over your area to the east. Best coverage looks east of 95 with a secondary max in the foothills. 7-10 split...sort of.

You'd think the north and northeast side of this upper low closing off would go crazy but it seems like everything just wants to pin offshore or in the upslope. Kind of a disappointing return from this setup so far for many i think

The models are horrible right now. They had all the rain before 1pm today and the nws was the same and it's been storming ots ass off all afternoon

Agreed - GSP had us a 50% chance of rain at 2pm - then updated to 30% at 4pm - and then 3 consecutive t storms. Not very big rain totals - but 1.23 for the week.

Looking at GSP this morning - seems like all rain chances are gone this morning (after 30-40% chances were forecasted through Sunday).

Next week looks horrible, gonna be mid 90's with high dews....the dog days are upon us. Typically we would think that means afternoon thunderstorms but we dont do that anymore.
Yeah .25 for the month this far. Things gonna look like I never saw the 6" from last month real quick. Only 2 months with 4" or more in last 13 months, both July and that's it

We had some rain here but nothing like others around me, enough to keep me mowing the grass though. No real good chances rain wise for the next week so we will cook what we did get right on out of the ground.
