I’m new to this group. So sorry if I’m doing this wrong. But I noticed there wasn’t a thread for this Friday night through Saturday night snow in western nc close to Tennessee border looks likely. Even the valleys could get snow just the sun angle make it harder to stick there. Above 3500 ft 2-4 inches looks like a good bet.

Yeah, it looks pretty good...... I will be going up to Beech mtn on Saturday for a snow chase. Forecast says 3-6 total for the event and only 30 degrees for a high on Sat.

From 81 Wednesday evening to 33 this morning in 36 hrs.
Things look very convective today and tmrw. Probably some awesome sleet/snow squalls across the area! A LOT of guys chasing the high elevations this weekend. Should see some awesome images.

If I could chase I would. Gonna be big hit for high elevations probably 6 inches for Laconte mt Mitchell places like that

The cabins 100 feet above us have snow on the roofs but it’s just flurrying here. You can see the snow pelting Rich Mtn off our porch.
Just had a good snow shower come through. Still mid 30s but pretty to see in April.
Dumping at the top of Sugar. Everything is covered. Also saw some pictures at Maggie earlier. Ground covered. Impressive April snow
Just had a heavy graupel shower here. 38 currently and every heavy return changes from rain to snow and graupel.
Can’t upload but just had a legit whiteout squall. Whitened the ground in a few minutes.
