Wintry More SE Snow ? (1/16-1/18)

Im very happy, i seen 3 snows this year so far, thats a blessing. Ready for the warm up for awhile and reload again end of month. Oh, the winds last night made this look like a Mini Bliz.

Right there with ya. I have been in a snow drought since 2014. No more than a dusting if that. This season I have seen and good 5 to 6 inch wet snow and a 2 inch powder just a little over a month apart. I was happy with the dusting I had when I went to bed last night and had a pleasant surprise when I woke up. 2017/2018 is a win for me.

I hope it still has a few more surprises left in it but I am good if it doesn't. I know the frustration a lot on this board are having. I missed out on so many good snow that hit just north or just south of me it wasn't funny, but try not to let it get the best of you. Life is precious. Don't sweat the little stuff.

Snow in the south is a special event that does not always pan out. If it did it would not be special. I have come to learn that all the missed opportunities only make it more meaningful when it comes together. Enjoy it if you get it and look forward to the next if you missed out but do not let it make you miserable. Snow In The South Is Special and I for one want to keep it that way. (Just my 2 cents probably worth less)

Roxboro, Oxford, Hillsborough, Siler City, & northwest Durham that have been under the heavy band of snow for a while west of Raleigh have already seen or are approaching 3-4" of snow... This is a huge bust by NWS lol
Yeah big time bust, there will be some huge totals in that heaviest axis somewhere...... speaking of that axis am I wishing or seeing things but it almost looks on radar that it is oriented a little more NE/SW as opposed to straight N/S as most models have been showing

Patents satellite lost signal. That's some heavy snow

Tip spray Pam or WD-40 on the dish snow will not stick and/or slide off. If on roof and garden hose not frozen take and just spray water on it then apply the Pam or WD-40 next chance you get. I have to use the garden hose since mine on the roof. If it is due to the SN rates screw the TV go watch mother nature's show LoL.

I'm waiting till 12:00 sharp and I'll take a hike out to snow board. But I can tell you from eyeballing, we are sitting at 5 if not a shade over already. Right here with packfan northern Randolph County

Gonna be some absolute insane gradients with this system, crazy how those extremely heavy bands are literally just miles from the eastern edge of the precip shield

Good thing about this winter for me is i didnt have to chase. So far 2 winterstorms for MBY thats a double win!!

Mulch almost has a white patch now. Little baby snowy white patch.
