Wintry More SE Snow ? (1/16-1/18)

I would argue that its the most historic winter in at least 20 years maybe more.

Hard to argue with that, this will be Florida's third winter storm of the season for crying out loud haha.

Snow map at the end of the season is gonna be ridiculous, I guess this is why we suffered so much the last two winters.

Thanks! This is a truly historic winter that will be mentioned on this board along with the 09-10, 10-11, and 13-14 winters.
Now I'm starting to get bigger flakes, but less of them, lol. I plan on getting the numbers I had with the small flakes, but with the big flakes....then I'll have something to talk about :)

It’s a pretty good one. My temp is at 1 degree right now so I’m for sure going below zero again for the 4th or 5th time this winter. I probably only went below zero 4-5 times the entire 11 years that I lived here before this winter.

Nice to know there are a few MTGY snow weenies who are still excited. It's pouring down right now. I think I may be up for another few hours. Who needs sleep?

I would love to hear from someone who lives in Prattville. Looks like they are getting hammered but is it as heavy as it looks on radar ?

Snowfall rates are increasing in coverage just NE of Montgomery heading ENE into Western GA. Carrollton and LaGrange should be seeing moderate snowfall occurring soon or right now. Radar slowly, but surely filling back in with light dbz returns ITP of Atlanta.

one thing that's interesting is watching the banding develop on the radar and the HRRR hasn't been showing it; so some folks may have a pleasant surprise.

I understand that this really wasn't supposed to be that much here in my location, and I'm good with that, after we got a foot of snow in December. We have close to an inch from this system and its still snowing some. I'm curious as to what is going to make the system go boom tomorrow for NC? I hope yall overachieve and get a foot.
