Chattanooga to Huntsville in the 50-60% chance of at least one inch per WPC, far NW Alabama in the 60-70% chance.

What a dry slot for north Al...shown on all relevant models. It couldn't set up any worse for HSV. Next for AL!

The dry slot was known, the upper low will swing through later, that's when we'll get what snow and ice we get. Nothing's changed, it is still a nowcasting thing.

The HRRR radar looks so promising at the beginning and then as soon as it hits AL it just begins to disappear. Oh well just have to accept we might not see a thing and be happy if we see anything at all. Good luck to those that do see some and stay safe.

Memphis looking good! Getting a good snow! Congrats to MS, AL,TN

Well down here in MGM the storms aren't as robust as modeled on tbe models so that could bode well for N Alabama later in terms of the dry slot.

Icy and sleet mess here in Paris TN this morning. Temperature 24 degrees and forecast 2-4" snow during the day. Definitely not an epic storm, but a nice dose of winter for sure.

We have a 300' high off gas stack with temperature and wind monitors on it here at the plant in Athens, AL where I work. The temps at 0500 were in the 60s...now @ 0800 it's 37.3 at 300', 38.4 at 150' and 39.1 at 30'. Amazing how fast it's falling. The wind is also pretty stout. 9.4 @ 300', 20.2 at 150', and 14.1 at 30'

Wintry precip reported as far south as Jackson MS nice... If that meso-low could hold on might give nice flakes for north AL but models kill it off but usually a surprise or two with wintry precip in the south just how it goes

I’ve quickly went from 62 to 55 after a line of heavy rain and wind blew through. Temp slowly falling. Seems the cooler air is seeping in little by little.
